Who Can Apply & Requirements

  • South African citizens aged 35 or younger
  • Unemployed at the time of application
  • Have successfully completed Matric with at least 50% in English and Mathematics
  • Must not have previously completed a YES Programme

Programme Locations

Five placement locations across South Africa are available. Applicants should select the location where they can manage programme participation:

  • Sandton/Johannesburg, Gauteng (Rohlig-Grindrod Head Office in Linbro Park)
  • Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape (PE offices in Walmer)
  • Durban Sea Freight, KwaZulu-Natal (Grindrod House Branch)
  • Durban Air Freight, KwaZulu-Natal (near King Shaka International Airport)
  • Cape Town, Western Cape (Airports City office)

What to Expect During the Programme

Participants will receive structured on-the-job training and workplace exposure specializing in freight forwarding, supply chain operations, customer service, and logistics documentation. The programme is designed to develop skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, deadline management, and communication within fast-paced logistics environments.

While permanent employment after completion is not guaranteed, this opportunity can significantly enhance employability by providing valuable experience and professional references.
