Tshwane South TVET College is hosting a 10-day Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Digital Skills Training Programme in 2026 in collaboration with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA). This short skills development course is designed to equip young South Africans with foundational knowledge of digital technologies relevant across diverse industries.
About the Programme
The programme focuses on introducing concepts related to digital environments and the increasing workplace integration of digital technologies, commonly referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). It is a brief but targeted intervention, not a full qualification, providing exposure to essential digital and technological skills.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years who meet one of the following educational criteria:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- NC(V) Level 4 qualification in Information Technology
- N4 to N6 qualifications in Business Studies or any Engineering trade
Applicants cannot currently be participating in any other SETA-funded programme.
Key Requirements
- South African citizenship
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- Relevant educational qualification as listed above
- Not currently enrolled in another SETA-funded learnership, internship, or skills programme
- Certified supporting documents must be submitted with the application
Programme Location and Duration
The training is offered by Tshwane South TVET College, with multiple campuses including Centurion, Atteridgeville, Pretoria West, and Odi. The programme runs for 10 consecutive days, providing a concise introduction to 4IR and digital skills.
Application Deadline
Interested applicants must submit their applications before 17:00 on 8 October 2026. It is advised to prepare all required certified documentation ahead of time to meet the application deadline.
Important Considerations
While this programme offers valuable digital skills training, it should be viewed as an introductory step rather than a comprehensive IT qualification. Participants interested in developing longer-term careers in technology are encouraged to explore further study and occupational qualifications using career planning tools and resources available through official educational platforms.
Applicants should also confirm they are eligible and adhere strictly to the requirement of not being enrolled in any other SETA-funded programmes. Verification of certificate authenticity and accurate documentation is critical.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted directly to Tshwane South TVET College as outlined in the official programme advertisement. Candidates should follow the specific submission instructions and locations indicated by the College, which include the following addresses:
- Head Office: 85 Francis Baard Street, P.O. Box 151, Pretoria, 0001
