About the Learnership
The Frontline Learnership programme immerses learners in real banking environments, focusing on customer service and frontline operations. Participants gain hands-on experience assisting clients, learning about banking products and services, and supporting digital banking usage. The programme covers three key roles:
- Client Liaison Officer: Engages directly with customers, understanding their needs and connecting them with suitable banking solutions while promoting digital banking channels.
- Cash Consultant: Handles daily cash transactions ensuring accuracy and security while offering excellent customer service.
- Universal Banker: Provides broad exposure to multiple branch banking functions, assisting customers with diverse banking requests.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Between 18 and 30 years of age
- Holder of an NQF Level 7 degree
- No more than 24 months of prior work experience
- An interest in banking and client interactions
- Not currently registered for another learnership
- Not enrolled in full-time or part-time studies that conflict with the learnership schedule
Programme Details and Benefits
- Duration: 18 months (15 November 2026 to 14 April 2028)
- Stipend: R10,000 per month

- Accreditation: Learners work towards an accredited Occupational Qualification aligned with their role
