About the Opportunity
The Library Assistant will provide vital administrative and operational support within the NPA’s library services. Key Responsibilities
- Processing and preparing library materials from suppliers for exhibitions
- Ordering, procuring, and managing library materials in line with Supply Chain and asset management procedures
- Selecting, preparing, and linking catalogue records within the library system
- Verifying correct labelling and filing of library materials
- Assisting with stocktaking and general library record management using the SLIMS system
- Supporting collection development services and ensuring proper maintenance of special collections and audio-visual loans
Location and Salary
This vacancy is based at the DPP office in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will receive a salary of R237,453 per annum at Salary Level 05, excluding additional benefits.
