The Higher Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing (R.169) is a one-year programme focusing on auxiliary nursing skills, governed by Government Notice R.169 of 2013. It is ideal for applicants seeking to enter the nursing profession in support roles.
Who May Apply
Applicants from all five Limpopo districts – Capricorn, Mopani, Sekhukhune, Vhembe, and Waterberg – are eligible to apply for either programme. Candidates should ensure they meet the academic and residency requirements as outlined in the respective prospectuses.
Application Requirements
- Completed application form and rating scale specific to either R.171 or R.169 programme.
- Certified copies of educational qualifications, including Matric or National Senior Certificate.
- Proof of residence within Limpopo.
- Copy of identity document.
- For R.171 applicants who are enrolled nurses employed by the Department, a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application form must be completed.
