About the Programme
The APEX Graduate Programme, also called the Future Leaders Accelerator, is a unique initiative targeting graduates with potential to take on leadership roles in the fintech sector. This 18-month programme combines real job responsibilities with intensive development in professional, functional, commercial, technological, and leadership skills.
Who Can Apply
The programme is open to South African graduates and final-year students who meet the academic and qualification requirements. Lesaka is seeking candidates with strong leadership potential, analytical skills, and a mindset geared to creating impact and embracing technology in financial services.
Entry Requirements
- A minimum academic average of 75%
- A relevant qualification in one of the following streams: Technology, Finance, or Operations
- Evidence of leadership experience through academics, community involvement, entrepreneurship, or other activities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Curiosity about technology, business, and the future of financial services
- No prior fintech experience is required, but applicants must demonstrate adaptability and ambition

Programme Location and Details
The programme is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Successful applicants become permanent employees from day one, take up defined business roles, report to line managers, and are accountable for real business deliverables. Over the course of 18 months, participants receive broad exposure across various parts of Lesaka Technologies’ fintech business.
