Who Can Apply and Requirements

The programme targets TVET College students who have completed or are close to completing their N6 HR qualification but require workplace experience to meet qualification requirements. Two distinct positions are available:

  • Sandton, Gauteng: Applicants must have completed their N6 in Human Resources, possess a matric certificate, and demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, Eastern Cape: Applicants must have matric with at least 50% in English and Maths or Accounting, have finished the theoretical component of an HR-related TVET qualification, and require approximately 18 months of practical experience to complete their qualification.

Programme Locations and Structure

There are two main internship sites:

  • Discovery Central Services at 1 Discovery Place, Sandton, Gauteng.
  • Discovery Health based in the Coega BPO Building, Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

Both placements offer exposure to various HR functions, providing foundational skills for an early HR career and connecting classroom knowledge with workplace application.
